Hi Everybody

Well, hi to those that will remember me, lol.
To get everybody up to date, I haven't been on in some time, so I wanted to come back to the place that made my life something to look forward to Well creatively I haven't done anything well worth, writing about. I've basically been stagnant, which is sad. On the business/IT front, I've made some progress at work. Been perfecting my craft at design and being a better developer/designer/consultant, but my heart has always been a music creative, a lyricist of some sort.
My girl and I are no more, been like that for like 6 months. But the single hood is interesting, wink, wink, hint hint. But single ladies are crazy peeps, so are "us" single men, laugh out loud. Well it's good to be back, for how long it will be, sometimes I wish I can come back to the same circle that was here, back in 2009/2010, but hey but that takes time, to recreate or retingle friendships.

On the music front, rather hip hop side, I'm feeling Joey Bada$$'s "Summer Knights", a few tracks of Kanye's "Yeezus" *Yeah I think it's way off though, but I maybe need time to listen to it*, I'm digging one or two tracks off Jigga's "Magna Carter Holy Grail", and I'm watching those Power 105.1 interviews, damn! I watched the Jigga interview, that man is on some other type of aura.

Currently in South Africa, we're going through some political turmoil, for lack of a better word, our presidento still thinks he can run the country like a spaza shop (aka convenience store, without no rules and regulations), but yeah, the less I say the better.

Hello There...

I'm always coming here, in and out, and not really participating. Well I just get caught up in life, and trying to get extra money. Well to get you guys up to speed, what's happening, I'm now working for a new IT company, and my job is rewarding, because I get to travel, as well as broaden my skills. Other than that, on the music front, I'm in a partnership with a friend, and producer, in terms of a sound design startup company, whereby we offer a vast array of services from mixing, mastering, and studio work, there's a big project we're trying to do, in terms of bringing a producer from the states to SA, but for now it's on the hush, until it materialises. Getting sponsors is one of the obstacles, we're facing, so we're just drawing up project proposals and such...

Other than that, on the lighter side, I'm doing the odd, writing to beats, and still need to put out a solid mixtape, as well as EP, but with my 9 to 5, I get lazy at times, will put up my latest lyrics though. My birthday was on the 10th, and it was well, for lack of a better word, interesting... had to cough up 7K, to service my car, eyyy, what a week, plus i had to pay traffic fines... but it's the life I chose, anyways, let me get back to reality...

PS - my lady and I are going strong...

Wasup y'all. It's your elusive brother. To give you guys a quick fast, description of what's been happening, I've been living, lol... sometimes that in itself, takes a toll on you... Got a new job, still with the same girl, probably she's the one (hold thumbs). As for the music thing, sadly, there hasn't been much improvement... no excuses, but I think I need a muse...

Funny how, I've missed this place. Back in the motherland (like how the African Americans keep referring to Africa), South Africa, things are cold (Winter), and politically, we could be much better.

Other than that, I'll try to post some more lyrics... but sooner or later, I must give you guys my demo freestyles or at least a sort of mixtape release... at least for those that like my stuff

Whatup people!

It's Marty Gunz here... lmao! Well I'm back just to post about what's been happening. Firstly the reason I'm not on so often is coz work blocked DA, and using my mobile with my home pc for internet connections costs an arm and a leg, so I can only come once in a whiiile.

It's winter over here in South Africa, and because of this global warming ish, going down, this is the coldest winter I've felt in a long time, I got da flu twice, dang!! The second time, I got it was so bad that I had to take 3 days leave, coughing my lungs out, but no worries, I'm 100s now.

As for music, I'm tryna record a track called "Invincible", I'm still in the limbo about music.

Love life, has become non-existent because I felt I'm not putting my heart into this relationships and that I'm always over cautious, so from now on, I'm taking it easy.

I'm also tryna hook myself up wit a ride, maybe a VW Polo.

Yo, have you all heard about the controversial arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jnr. in the States? Damn!?! From my side it seems sinister that a prestigous professor could get arrested in his own home, because of being disorderly. I ask, had the professor been white, would he had been arrested? Yeah, but we as a people got a long way to go...

Here in South Africa, we've had some unstability with municipal workers around the country striking for higher wages, bringing everything to a stand still from the buses, licensing offices, and cleaning services. But hey, I think people have had enough.

The good news, is that we're gona host the World Cup next year...

Well, I'm doing good everybody, meaning I'm alive and I should thank God for that. I had a feeling in the year 2007, on the eve of the New Year that, that year was gona be a good year and it came true.

Well on the eve of 2009, I had this feeling that this year was gona be a year where I would have to overcome struggle and get over obstacles, and it seems like that's what's been happening.

Firstly I broke up with a chick, ok, it wasn't the worst break up, but I do still miss her, but it's cool. And work became really stressful, because of a project I was assigned to, so that keeps me busy.

Then on the 13 March, a friend I knew all my life, commits suicide, and like that's when things started, to go a little out of order. I mean firstly everyone was shocked, that he could take his life, damn!! His death really shook me up, he was a producer & really humble guy, and I'll always have in my thoughts, so RIP AJ (LOVE YOU MAN!!)

My friend got retrenched, and this recession is making things look stiff (financial wise), I'm not suffering or anything, but my job may be on the line, since I'm under a contract with this company I'm working for.

As for music, it seems it has taken a little bit of a back seat, and that wasn't meant to happen, but I will get back and do my thing, by recording and organising shows.

Well it's March, and all I can say is that, as long as I'm alive, and I still got my family, I got still give praise to G-O-D, coz like the Priest at my friend's funeral said, "God giveth, and God taketh..." So in good and bad, I'm gona stay optimistic.
